Making a Change for the Better!

Our mission: The Dennis P. McCoy Employee Crisis Fund provides limited financial assistance and emotional support to employees of McCoy's Building Supply in times of economic hardship due to emergency situations.

Dennis P. McCoy was the brother of McCoy's Building Supply CEO, Brian McCoy and son of founder, Emmett McCoy.

Dennis did it all at McCoy's! He worked as a yard hand, driver, floor sales, assistant manager and store manager. Later, he shared the position of Vice President of Operations with his brother Mike, traveling to our stores every week.

On April 30, 1985, Dennis died in a plane crash as he made his way to visit McCoy's Building Supply, Brownwood, Texas location. Dennis is survived by his wife Cindy, daughter Kristen Nunnelly, her husband Scott, their children Grant, Kyle, Kendall and Taylor; and by his daughter Lori Medefind, her husband Caleb, and their children Caroline, Barrett, Lyla and Weston.

This fund is named in his honor, celebrating his life and reaching out to support the families of McCoy's employees during times of struggle.
